In 2005, when I first started planning weddings and events I really thought it was all about creating a beautiful design for the wedding and finding vendors within the wedding budget. Over time I have come to realize those things are important, but the most valuable thing that I do as a wedding planner is make the planning process fun and relaxed for you, the bride. I do the planning, budgeting and coordinating so that you get to focus on the exciting parts of designing your wedding, like: tasting cake flavors, trying on gorgeous wedding gowns, and selecting the perfect invitation.

My job is to make sure that the wedding day and entire planning experience is stress-free and exactly as you’ve imagined it. I begin by creating a wedding budget that works for you. I love getting a great deal and work hard to make sure you get the most for your money.

Then I recommend vendors that I trust. These are people that I have a history of working with on events and have consistently provided amazing service. They also offer discounts or complimentary upgrades to you, to work within your budget.

You will be busy enjoying your engagement parties or wedding showers, looking through wedding magazines or pintrest for ideas, and planning your honeymoon. So let me worry about keeping the planning and details on track throughout the process.

There are few things in life that I enjoy more that being a part of a wedding day. It brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart knowing that I’ve helped create a beautiful wedding for my brides, grooms, and their families. My background and education are in psychology and counseling (I have a BS in Psychology from UGA, and an MS & EdS. From GSU), so working with people and creating relationships is my passion.

Growing up I have always had a niche for designing, organizing and facilitating events. Although novice to the professional industry, I have planned and coordinated events for family and friends for years. I met Amber Lewter upon using Beyond Events for ceremony coordination for my own wedding this past Fall. Thanks to her experience and dedication, our wedding day was everything that we could have imagined.

I recently graduated from Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in the Science of Nursing. Although I enjoy nursing and am a Registered Professional Nurse, event planning and coordination are where I naturally excel. Nursing school advanced my proficiency of active listening, time-management, and goal-attainment while teaching me how to build a successful relationship with a client based on communication and trust. These skills and abilities are crucial when working with my clients to deliver a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable event.
